New 86 inch Cat Towers

After our  sale of a Luxury, High End 86 inch Cat Tower with 6 Levels to Peggy C. in IL . . . we added it plus the 86” with Dual Beddy Boxes to our website.  As of 11-21-2016 sales of these new heights are now up to 9 & climbing!

These are truly High End Cat Towers in the category of Luxury Cat Furniture!

We traded one of our NEW Luxury 86” American Walnut Dual Box Towers to Hauspanther for 6 months of advertising on their site.   In a previous blog we mentioned they received a Premium Deluxe 62” American Walnut Tower a year ago and they have placed them side by side as a Contemporary Style room divider!

After they were all set up and in place, a Major National Cat Food Producer paid a visit and shot several minutes of video that included our Deluxe Towers which will show online ! ! !

Quote: “This is the Tallest piece of Cat Furniture that we have seen that is this stable!”   The 6” Exit and Entry Passageways in the Upper Beddy Box are Contemporary Design & Modern Luxury.

We will be placing these videos on our Facebook Page in December.

I want to repeat the NEW comments from every corner in the Cat World – It has been decided that Carpeted Cat Furniture spreads bacteria and germs where there are NEW Cats being added to shelters etc.!!

You can find articles about this subject in the Catster Magazine written by Kate Benjamin to encourage the use of Cat Furniture that IS NOT carpeted.

Our Natural Sisal Fiber is not carpet; it is in fact a plant that produces very strong and tough leaves that are harvested, dried and woven into wall and floor covering that is sustainable, environmentally friendly with excellent tearing resistance and will endure the heaviest traffic –

BULLETIN:  It is October, 2016, and we have just received an order from our 40th state: Maine!

A contact from Jen in CA was made awhile back after she had seen the 86 inch Cat Tower Naturally Clear Dual Box on our website.   She was thrilled to find it – they own a Cat Boarding Boutique in Toluca Lake, CA

Emmie’s Beginning

Emmie is the daughter of Alley Cat, who belongs to our son. He and our grandson were at Walmart one Saturday and they heard her meowing under a stack of pallets. They couldn’t find anyone who claimed her, so they brought her home to their small farm to keep mice out of their garage. Emmie is going to be a fairly small cat, being the runt of her litter.

Emmie is a very curious cat (I know, most of them are) and wants to be right in the middle of everything I am doing. She’s there when I’m at the computer; when I fold clothes, when I make the bed, when I’m doing my makeup – whatever I’m doing, she’s right there.

The number one problem we have with her is that she wants to scratch on the furniture. As a kitten of about six months old, this is pretty normal. We could solve this problem if I could get one of our PurrfecTrends Handcrafted Cat Towers. But, as an owner, my order gets put aside when we get a new customer order. Having a no-carpet cat tower with sisal inserts will be purrfect to keep her claws occupied and away from the furniture.

As a temporary measure until we get our own luxury cat tower, we set up a step ladder in front of our patio door for her to climb on and look outside. She enjoys watching birds and squirrels, the occasional neighborhood cat, and stray dogs. From the top of the ladder, she jumps onto the top of the valance above the patio door and surveys her kingdom from there. So I know she will love, love, love the tower when we get it. I’ve ordered a designer 62 inch Ozark Autumn tower and it will be taller than the step ladder.

I have read many times that pets will help reduce one’s blood pressure. After 19 years without a cat, having Emmie for about 4 months has reduced mine back into the normal range. Emmie is always there to welcome me up each morning, meet me at the door when I come home from errands, and curl up in my lap for some petting and purring. She is fitting in well here, and we can’t wait to see her play on her new PurrfecTrends Handcrafted Cat Tower!

Adoption Fundraiser

We have a great-nephew in a small Maryland town who is a pastor. He and his wife are adopting a baby. The adoption costs are expensive and several of their friends who are cat-lovers decided to have a fundraiser to help out. They offered to contribute all the funds from the sale of a Hand-crafted, Furniture Finished Cat Tower, which the baby’s soon-to-be grandpa constructed and donated.

“It may be the way into the Bedding Box for our black kitty’s new cat tower . . . but I’m not quite sure yet.”

Cats Do The Darndest Things

We’ve observed cats that like the height of the Bedding Box, others evidently feel comfortable at mid levels while the climbers like the upper levels!!

The Bedding Box was two fold, it adds the most to the overall stability – plus we knew cats that would be hiding there. That was born from Vivian’s cat Sasha who would crawl in under the comforter on her bed to hide.

I’ve heard someone say “Kids Say The Darndest Things” – I say “Cats Do The Darndest Things” and they will view, lounge and nap anywhere they decide at the moment.

Well . . . as mentioned in another post about a lady, Carla B. in FL, contacting us about Cat Towers without any Sisal . . . she placed an order today for a 48” Ozark Autumn that doesn’t have any Sisal just finished wood. If the Tower is what she and her cats are happy with . . . she could be in the market for more !

Bandit the Cat & First Cat Tower Prototype

Vivian’s (owner/wife) sister and her husband bought a new retirement home in Sept of 2014 along with a 48” American Walnut Tower for their CAT Bandit. A real top view window watcher – didn’t take to the Bedding Box right off – one day Biscuit the dachshund entered the Bedding Box. Well . . . after sizing up what had just taken place . . . Bandit made a MAJOR decision and quickly moved the dog out . . . permanently!!! “My name is BANDIT and no Canine is going to STEAL anything from me.”

We presented Rose M. in Arkansas, our graphics lady, with a prototype to test with her Kitty – she writes: In August 26, 2012 the very first prototype Cat Tower by PurrfecTrendis is still in use. My kitty doesn’t care if the engineering pencil marks decorate the side, or that it is unfinished. She loves to sit and look out the window. I have caught her napping too ♥! Admittedly, she likes it by the window and uses it all the time. If you have kitties, I would recommend the extension versions that can accommodate levels for everyone. A piece of furniture just for the “Kids!”

Funny, funny . . . Rose was recently ill and coughing a lot. I told her, “Wouldn’t it be something if you were allergic to cats?” And, because she loves her kitties so much she said, “If I were, I wouldn’t tell anyone!”

Cat Towers at the Craft Fair

A four inch snow on May 1, 2013 (record) in Northwest Arkansas greeted the attendees at the Regional Spring Craft Fair. We displayed our cat towers in 3 finishes, Naturally Clear, Ozark Autumn and American Walnut in a 48” height. Exciting response with several leads and sales after the Fair . . . realized we are going in the right direction!
